PROFESSIONAL AND STAFF SERVICES
Basic: includes, but is not limited to, 24 hour availability of Funeral Director and staff for transfer of the remains from place of death to Funeral Home, services of support staff in preparing documents, correspondence, general clerical duties, invoices, newspaper notices, general staffing, cleaning and maintenance of the grounds, building and vehicles, office staffing and telephone coverage.
Visitation: includes, but is not limited to, preparing for visitation staffing during visitation, recording and receiving donations, placing flowers and all other duties associated with religious and fraternal rites and services during visitation.
Day of Service: includes, but is not limited to, preparing for the Funeral Service, staff to assist and direct the service, continuing with flower placing, donations and supervision for the completion of the service, and staff to monitor music/public address system.
DOCUMENTATION AND STATIONARY
Includes obtaining the necessary information to complete all of the documentation as required by the Provincial Government in connection with the disposition of the remains. Filing of the documentation, keeping records registration of the death and providing copies of our Funeral Directors Proof of Death Certificates. Stationery (register book, thank you cards for pallbearers, acknowledgement cards).
EMBALMING
Embalming is the complete disinfection, preservation and restoration of a deceased human body.It is not a requirement by law. Other preparation includes placing the remains in the casket or container, sanitation and exterior disinfecting of the remains when no embalming is authorized. For out of town transfer situations, special care to effect transfer and also when receiving a transfer.
OTHER CARE AND PREPARATION
Preliminary Preparation is the disinfecting and dressing of the deceased and placement in the casket or cremation container including hairstyling and applying cosmetics.
FACILITIES and EQUIPMENT
Basic: includes, but is not limited to, the use of all of our facilities common to each service, including parking areas open to the public within our funeral home, arrangement offices, casket display room and all other equipment and facilities as required by our licensing board to operate a funeral home.
Visitation: includes the use of our facility for receiving relatives and friends, register area, casket bier, flower and donation stands, religious equipment, coffee lounge and supplies, and all necessary furnishings.
Day of Service: includes the use of our premises, chapel, its furnishings (organ, lectern, sound system, religious equipment), receiving relatives and friends and all items required for post funeral maintenance.
EMBALMING FACILITIES
This includes the use of all necessary equipment and supplies for professional and sanitary care of the remains, together with the room to perform these functions, or the sheltering of remains when necessary.
INITIAL TRANSER OF REMAINS
This vehicle and its necessary equipment is used to transfer the remains from the place of death to the Funeral Home.
FUNERAL COACH
Used for the transfer of casketed remains from our funeral home to a church and/or to the place of final disposition within a 25 km. radius.
CLERGY/LEAD CAR/SEDAN
Used for the transportation of the clergy to the funeral home or place of the funeral or final disposition and return, as well as leading the funeral procession. It is also used to secure documentation and registration requirements.
LIMOUSINE FOR THE FAMILY
Used for the family to transport from home to the funeral home, also used for the family to transport them to the place of final disposition.
